We measure most of the clothing in our assortment ourselves. You will find the results in the product description. To keep it simple, we measure along the seams of the garment.
All measurements are given in cm.
The exception is our 5.11 Taclite Pro Pants: their length and width are given in inches. One inch equals 2.54 cm, the same unit used for jeans sizes.

If possible, ask someone to help you take your measurements. Otherwise deviations can easily occur.

The shoulder width is measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Make sure you do not measure at an angle and that the tape is not too loose. Measure at the height of the base of your shoulders.

Measure the arm length from the shoulder seam or the base of your shoulder to the base of your thumb. Let your arm hang loosely; do not stretch it out. Measure along the outside of the arm, not along the biceps.

To determine your trouser length, take a pair of trousers whose length fits you very well. Measure from the top to the bottom end, i.e. from the waistband along the side seam to the hem. Keep in mind that trousers are easier to shorten than to lengthen.
Measure the circumference of your head where you would like your beret or hat to sit. The measurement in cm corresponds to the hat size, e.g. a circumference of 55 cm is hat size 55.
Some hats and caps do not come in different sizes. Instead, they feature a hook-and-loop fastener to adjust them to your head size.

Put a fabric measuring tape around your head along the imaginary line where the beret or hat is going to sit. When measuring, keep in mind that the length of your hair may change over time, which can change the measurement by up to one centimetre.
The sizes of our belts are given in cm. Wrap a fabric measuring tape around the waistband of your trousers. The measurement translates into a belt size, usually Small to XX-Large. Please see the product description for the exact assignment.

Use a fabric measuring tape and put it around your hips, or better around the waistband. The measured length is the minimum length your belt needs to fit well.
